Hat Yai

Alhamdulillah, just returned from a road trip to Hat Yai, Thailand. Ticket - RM110.00 (pergi balik). 24-seats coach. Thanks kepada kawan mak yang sponsor tiket. Rezeki orang menganggur :P Letih gak la naik bas 6-7 jam.

Bertolak dari Klang Sentral, on 21st June, 2300H, arrived at border Malaysia-Thailand around 0600H, 22nd June. That coach was full speed ahead. Aku tido je sepanjang journey tu. Bangun-bangun je dah sampai. Then arrived at Hat Yai City around 0800H. Their time is GMT+7:00, so they are one hour back than us. Pening gak la nak setting balik time solat kan.

Check in kat Rado Hotel - RM47.00/night (2 single beds). Tilam keras nak mampus. hahah.. Layan je beb. Hotel murah. Basic facilities semua ok. Ada air cond, tv, hot shower, towel. So here are the interesting attractions of Hat Yai that you might wanna know.

1. Pasar. 

Kat sini barang murah, affordable. Kasut, selipar, handbag, all sort of bags, baju, seluar, semua ada. Rambang mata weh. Semua benda nak beli. Madness. 

Ni baru satu deret. Lenjan kaki nak pergi semua deret -__-

2. Samila Beach, Songkhla

Tengah hari, pantai sangat panas, so tak berapa nak amik gambar sangat. Ada gak yang mandi time tengahari buta tu. Weird people around the world, they say. Pasir halus, pantai tu mcm kat Malaysia je. Tak berapa nak biru sangat la.

3. Khlong Hae Floating Market

Aha sini adalah favorite attraction aku! Lotsa colors, nice people, great food, it was very cheap. Mostly, all the food costs 20 Baht each.

Deretan yang agak panjang. But a lot of varieties. Maybe lebih rancak waktu malam.

Nice people here :)

Pedas gila kuah tu. Tapi sedap. haha.

 

4. Hat Yai Municipal Park

Lotsa temples over here, patung, kuil apa lagi, semua-semua tu lah. Ada gak cable car. Sekali naik 100 Baht, so pergi balik 200 Baht = RM20.00.

5. Food

Bab makan tak perlu risau kat Hat Yai. Banyak restoran muslim kat sana. Diorang masak memang sama je dengan taste orang Malaysia.

Berjalan, melihat dan mentafsir. Traveling to other side of the world, seeing people's place, habits, values, made us appreciate what our local customs are and learn from them what is good and what is not. How adaptive we are towards the environment, reading non verbal cues or some body languages really matters.

Not all of the hawkers can speak Malay or a very basic English, so don't expect them to communicate very well with you. The only two phrases I know: sawadekap, means selamat sejahtera/good morning/hello and khab khun ka (for female)/ khob khun krap (for male), which means thank you.
